Construction period2009 - 20011

The project consists of a revitalized office tower and a new building housing offices and commercial space, residences and a hotel with 325 rooms. The above-ground parts of both buildings is 60,000 square meters. HOCHTIEF supported and optimized the project already in the planning phase.

The office tower was awarded the internationally renowned U.S. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum sustainability certification.

The certificate evidences the holistic quality of the building audited by HOCHTIEF Engineering with a view to cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and user comfort in detail and comprehensibly. The award is particularly extraordinary, as the 98-meter high Emporio is a listed building. In addition, the client had initially targeted only the Gold award. Thanks to the suggestions of HOCHTIEF, the project ultimately obtained the Platinum certification.
