As part of a joint venture, Leighton Asia, India and Offshore is building Australia’s new embassy complex in Jakarta. This is a follow-on contract; the CIMIC Group constructed the present Australian embassy two decades ago. When complete, the new embassy complex will comprise a fivestory office building plus a separate residence for the Ambassador, housing for embassy staff, four guard posts, and leisure facilities spread across a total area of 40,500 square meters. Leighton Asia, India and Offshore will also provide the necessary infrastructure and landscaping.
