The new campus of the Knight Management Center is designed to give the sense of being in a small village. HOCHTIEF subsidiary Turner replaced the old Graduate School of Business facilities at Stanford University with eight new buildings. These include a 600-seat auditorium, a student center with a library and lounge, a career management center, dining facilities, and faculty and staff offices. In addition to constructing the actual university buildings, the contract also included an underground garage, infrastructure such as exterior arcades, porches, bridges, and pathways as well as landscaping. The Knight Management Center was awarded the LEED Platinum rating, with installations such as photovoltaic arrays on the roofs that make the campus as sustainable as it is attractive.
