Entry opportunities
Already gain valuable practical experience during your studies or during the course of working student activities. You can choose between a term of four weeks and six months for your internship. During working student activities you regularly work with us, whereby we individually agree the weekly working time with you.
Would you like to acquire practical experience and discover what you want to work in? Then join us and discover your strengths and interests in everyday professional life within the framework of a voluntary internship, an obligatory or pre-study internship in different corporate areas.
We are looking for students specialized in different areas: prospective construction engineers, utility engineers, computer scientists, architects, IT business engineers, economists, lawyers and many more. You can complete your internship either in the time when you have no lectures or during the ongoing semester. If you enjoyed the work during the internship at our company and you would like to further deepen your know-how, as far as this is possible we gladly take you on as a working student or you become a member of our internship loyalty program.

As a working student, you regularly work together with us and in the team you perform your first tasks under your own responsibility after we have given you comprehensive induction. Apart from this, you also always have a contact person to look after you. This enables you to acquire practical experiences and to already prepare yourself for starting your professional career while you are still studying. Furthermore, you also receive an attractive remuneration for your work. We jointly agree on how many hours you work during the semester or in the semester vacations.
Since, as a working student, you are already well acquainted with our company procedures and consequently have great specialist know-how, after you finish studying we are glad to employ you as far as this is possible. We are looking forward to your input and long-term cooperation with you.

Are you in the middle of your studies and would like to acquire practical experience? We are looking for students specializing in technical and non-technical subjects for internships and working student activities. This enables you to discover at a very early stage what your professional interests and strengths are. This can be during your semester or during the time when there are no lectures. We individually decide on the possibility of becoming part of our team.
Site managers ensure trouble-free project progress. They coordinate deadlines and control the work on a construction site. Would you like to learn more about practical processes? For internships or working student activities in the sphere of site management—both in building construction and also in civil engineering or PPP projects—we are looking for students specialized in construction engineering, electrical engineering, technical building installations, industrial engineering or architecture.
As an intern or working student, you support the site management in daily and project business. You prepare and check initial measurements, cooperate with quality controls and documentations and help with design management. Your tasks also include general office tasks and project documentation. But don’t worry: We provide you with comprehensive induction and together with you define a framework for making your own decisions. This enables you to assume responsibility for your first tasks.

In the area of consulting and engineering, you develop solutions for national and international construction projects. In doing so you cooperate in the areas building construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and energy in the project and daily business of the respective specialist area. As an intern or working student, you can manage to make start in this area. We hire employees in the specialist areas construction engineering, industrial engineering, technical building installations, facility management, electronics, architecture and computer science.
If you have computer science skills, in our subsidiary HOCHTIEF ViCon—for instance—you learn BIM specialist applications or at Nexplore Technology help develop solutions in the area of Machine Learning. Do you have difficulty precisely understanding what this involves in everyday working life? Don’t worry, because that’s exactly what you learn from us.
