RWE Tower in Essen

RWE Tower in Essen, 1994-1996

Also affectionately known as the “Prinzenrolle” after the popular German sandwich cookie, the RWE Tower has been a feature of the Essen skyline and is a direct neighbor of HOCHTIEF headquarters. The 127-meter high building was designed and built in line with sustainable criteria. Among other things, a double-glazed façade provides natural ventilation; the building is partially solar powered.
