Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, USA
In 2014, after just two years construction time, the Levi’s Stadium was opened, the home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers from the American National Football League. It is certified with the sustainability standard LEED Gold, and not only has a 2,500 square meter green roof, but also solar cells, installations with recycled water and live dashboards, enabling fans to watch the stadium’s energy consumption. Through using Building Information Modeling (BIM), Turner was able to lay 65 kilometers of underground cables and pipes, before even the first pile for the arena’s foundations was rammed into the ground.
