HOCHTIEF partners with Implenia on EUR 90 million Project
HOCHTIEF and Implenia have jointly won the contract to build a 14-kilometer power supply tunnel for the Swedish capital. The client, Svenska Kraftnät (Swedish National Grid), awarded the contract, worth around 90 million euros, to the joint venture in which HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and Implenia have equal stakes. HOCHTIEF is the technical lead in the consortium.The Anneberg-Skanstull Tunnel is part of the City Link project intended to improve the electricity supply in the greater Stockholm area. A tunnel-driving machine will be used to build the tunnel which has a diameter of five meters and will be located 50 - 100 meters below ground. The project also encompasses six ventilation shafts, elevators, and the construction of technical buildings for electrotechnical equipment. Completion is scheduled for 2024.
