Project worth EUR 216 million for joint venture

HOCHTIEF was awarded the contract by Autobahn GmbH to complete building the Rhine Bridge on the A1 highway in Leverkusen. Together with its partners SEH Engineering, Eiffage Métal, Iemants and Max Bögl, the company has been commissioned to complete a bridge section of the approximately one-kilometer-long structure by the end of 2023. HOCHTIEF has a share of 32% in the contract volume of EUR 216 million for the joint venture.

Last year, HOCHTIEF was already awarded the contract for building the new replacement Rhine Bridge on the A40 in Duisburg in a joint venture with a total volume of around EUR 500 million. This means the company is now responsible for building the two most important bridges over the River Rhine in North Rhine Westphalia.

HOCHTIEF’s bridge construction experts are currently implementing numerous large-scale projects in Germany. In North Rhine-Westphalia, this includes the new structure to replace the Lennetal Bridge in Hagen on the A45 as well as the new construction of the inner Schwelmetal Bridge in Wuppertal on the A1. On the A6 near Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg, the Group is building the Neckartal Bridge. As part of the expansion of the A7 in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, HOCHTIEF rebuilt the Langenfelde Bridge.
