At today’s CDP Climate Leadership Award Conference & Ceremony 2015 in Bonn, HOCHTIEF is winning two prizes at once: The construction group is receiving the status of “Index Leader MDAX” and “Sector Leader Industrials”. With these awards, the non-profit organization CDP is honoring HOCHTIEF’s contribution to environmental protection and to the reduction of pollutants. It sees HOCHTIEF as being characterized by a high degree of transparency in its handling of environmental issues. CDP presented an overview of the environmental activities of the leading German companies today in the “2015 Climate Change Report”, which it is publishing on behalf of 882 investors.
Marcelino Fernández Verdes, CEO of HOCHTIEF, says: “Climate protection and the related efficient use of resources are key issues for us.”
“With a score of 100B in the 2015 climate change report, HOCHTIEF achieved the status of “Index Leader MDAX.” The construction group is thus one of the best companies in the MDAX this year. Moreover, HOCHTIEF was also selected as a “Sector Leader Industrials,” one of the ten best companies in the industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland,” says Susan Dreyer, Director DACH Region, CDP.
Sustainable management is a long-standing tradition at HOCHTIEF.
