Munich—Overview

In the heart of Munich, we and our partner are digging under a concrete cover to a depth of 40 meters to build the new Marienhof subway station. It will be a central stop on the Second S-Bahn Main Line Munich. The project, for which overall construction work began in 2017, extends over a length of around ten kilometers and will serve to increase capacity on the busy line.

Many years ago we already demonstrated our expertise in expanding new subway sections in the Bavarian capital. For example, in tunnel construction around the Moosach, Westfriedhof, Gern and Trudering stations. By the way: HOCHTIEF has built a district heating tunnel under the English Garden.
